There are a number of conventional management tools and guides for anyone working in the corporate and public sectors.

However, the NGO sector – due to the nature of its role in society -needs to pay careful consideration to the risks involved in emulating the tried and tested, frequently neoliberal, management models and leadership styles that dominate traditional organisational management theory.

Whilst caution is required when adopting mainstream methodologies, it is an inescapable fact that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT’s) can be an incredibly useful tool for NGOs, if deployed effectively. Therefore SANGONeT has collected a variety of ICT tools, tips and innovative solutions to be evaluated and shared online. This collection forms part of a permanent section within the Organisational Development component of the NGO Management Toolkit.

Keep yourself regularly updated by visiting the ICT for NGOs section of the SANGONeT website.
