Health Worker Shortage Limits Access to HIV/AIDS Treatment in Southern Africa

According to a recent report released by the international aid group Médicins sans Frontières (MSF), lack of healthcare staff endangers the lives of millions of people living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Africa. The report titled, “Help Wanted” focuses on MSF’s experience in the region, and it argues that failure to allow nurses to administer ARV therapy combined with poor salaries and working conditions for healthcare workers has lead to a brain drain.
