A study carried out by a team led by UNU-MERIT, identifies the role of Free/Libre/Open Source Software (FLOSS) in the economy, its direct and indirect impact on the ICT sector. In a report emanating from this study, Rishab Aiyer Ghosh, makes forecasts under multiple scenarios, and provides a range of recommended policy options linked to different forecasted scenarios allowing policy makers to take decisions on the basis of sound empirical evidence, with a degree of confidence that chosen policies will likely lead to specific results.
