Agency Pledges Sh240 Billion in Aid

The French Development Agency AFD will inject over Sh240 billion into renewable energy, water and transport projects in Tanzania.
AFD Representative in Tanzania Emmanuel Baudra, told reporters in Dar es Salaam yesterday that the latest development plans are in line with the French President’s commitment to increase support by a 50 per cent by 2020.
The AFD Board in Tanzania has already approved more than Sh187billion to finance public and private stakeholders with a major aim of supporting the expansion of the Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA) Terminal-2 and grants to French NGOs operating in the country.
