Africa Empowers Women: NEPAD

Head of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development’s (NEPAD) Gender Programme, Rosalie Ndeye Lo, is urging Africa has to focus on implementing policies aimed at empowering women.
Ndeye Lo states that there have been significant gains in the empowerment of women in Africa.
She says Africa is doing well as far as policy framework focussed on women empowerment is concerned, raising concern over implementation of the policies.
