Advocacy group, Freedom Under Law, is preparing to launch a court challenge to the suspensions‚ inquiries and financial settlements of a line of officials at top government departments.

A rumoured golden handshake for Mxolisi Nxasana if he resigns as the national director of public prosecutions would be the latest resignation and lucrative payout for a public official.

It took an early-morning call from President Jacob’s Zuma’s office and less than five minutes for the Cassim inquiry into Nxasana’s fitness to hold office to start and end.
