This paper forms part of a broader Humanitarian Policy Group (HPG) study into the role of the private sector in support of humanitarian action. It explores the new roles companies are playing in humanitarian action and assesses the forms such engagements are taking, with a particular focus on partnerships. It also explores the underlying motivations for engaging in new ways.
