Human Rights and Service Learning is a manual on human rights and service learning published by the Human Rights Education and Associates (HREA) in collaboration with Amnesty International (AI). The manual contains lessons and service-learning projects divided into five human rights topic areas, namely environment, poverty, discrimination, children’s rights to education and health, and law and justice. It is aimed at engaging educators currently utilising service-learning in the practice of human rights education, enabling human rights educators and trainers to teach through service-learning. It also provides the tools and building blocks for educators to promote human rights education and service-learning far beyond the scope of the activities included in this manual.
