The fourth industrial revolution  (4IR) has already begun, but some of us seem to think of it as a pipedream.  Technocrats and ITC Technicians and Academics usually bombard us with high level of digital literacy, including a dozen of digital ….However, the recent Digital Economy Summit was different in that the language was user-friendly to people from all walks of life. 

The technology jargon tends to scare people away from mainstreaming the 4IR pillars such as virtual reality (VR) which struggled to gain mainstream traction among consumers.  We need to realise that the answer to mainstreaming these technologies lies in the purpose for usage, rather than the mere technologies; enhancing the world that already exists around us as well as enabling us to do more in our daily lives.
