Thembalethu, meaning ’our hope’ in isiZulu, is a community-based South African nonprofit organisation dedicated to caring for the community in the midst of the HIV/AIDS pandemic and crushing poverty. TCO works to share the hope we have with the sick, orphaned and vulnerable in the Amangwe community.
Thembalethu Care seeks to appoint a part-time Professional Nurse, based in the Amangwe Tribal Area near Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal.
The person will offer quality, holistic palliative care to clients, including the spiritual and emotional needs of the patients and their families. S/he will assess, make care plan and manage patients in homes and hospice clinic to clients with life-limiting illnesses as well as provide appropriate professional supervision of palliative caregivers.
- Valid driver’s licence;
- Fluency in isiZulu;
- Completion of palliative care course is desirable.
