South African Monitoring & Evaluation Association (SAMEA)
The South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA) strives to cultivate a vibrant community that will support, guide and strengthen the development of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) as an important discipline, profession and instrument for empowerment and accountability in South Africa.
SAMEA seeks to appoint a part-time Coordinator, based in South Africa.
This is an operational and administrative position responsible for ensuring that the day to day activities of SAMEA are executed in compliance with the directives of the Board and the latest strategic plan of the Association.
The successful candidate will execute and provide oversight over administrative functions of the association, have fund-raising and fiscal management responsibilities, oversee SAMEA’s communications and relationship management efforts, and represent and advocate for SAMEA’s interests at the highest levels. In addition to following Board directives. The Coordinator is expected to initiate activities to realise the objectives of the association and her or his role.
Key performance areas includes: Advocacy and fundraising, administration, membership services, Chief of Staff.
This is a contracted position, renewable on an annual basis. It is expected that the SAMEA Coordinator will devote 40 hours a month to SAMEA business.
- Minimum of ten years working experience in the M&E or research fields;
- Excellent communication skills and be excellent in fostering relationships;
- Fundraising experience.
Starting date: No later than 1 May 2014, preferably sooner.
Salary: R 240 000 per annum.
