Mindset Network seeks to appoint a CAPS Physical Science Content Developer, based in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Job level: Mid

Remuneration: to be discussed

This is a six-month contract position.
    
Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and coordinating the development and review of content for Grades 10 to 12 Physical Resources classroom resources;
  • Using the current processes and working with a team of content developers and reviewers
  • Check and finalise the Physical Sciences content for production and following it through the production cycle, with support to the production team
  • Check all graphics and images required for the production of CAPS Physical Sciences resources
  • Finalise the content of Physical Sciences print notes after the work of developers and reviewers - short guides that go with each series (excluding layout)
  • Carry out edit reviews (final checks) with the production team and supporting corrections and changes
  • Maintain documents indicating progress, stages and remaining requirements on a weekly basis
  • Communicate invoice, tag, upload and print notes status and/or needs to the Content Administrator for action and follow up
  • Work with other content developers and team members to ensure the completion of Physical Sciences learning resources as follows:
    • 24 Grades 10 and 11 series:
      • Content completed by end February 2014
      • Production support completed by end April 2014
    • 13 Grade 12:
      • Content completed by end February 2014
      • Production support completed by end April 2014

Requirements:

  • Tertiary teaching qualification and teaching experience
  • PC Skills in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience developing digital/other learning and/or teaching support materials (LTSMs)
  • Own transport required:
  • PC Skills in Google Applications
  • Positive and client oriented outlook
