HIV Survivors and Partners Network is a South African Based Organization led by Clinicians that are HIV affected and infected rendering its services across Africa. The organizations main focus is community systems strengthening, advocacy for client centred care, high quality, effective, efficient  and inclusive health care. Champions of Change program is calling all nurses and student nurses (in their final year) who are interested in HIV and other chronic disease care to send their letters of interest through the organization website. The programs seek to close the gap between clients, service providers and communities to ensure everyone work together to improve the quality of health care. One critical aspect of this program is to ensure service providers are trained and mentored on the latest HIV Care/SRHR  program (across the cascade),ensure they form part of the discussion groups with other clinicians, civil society and peers to discuss barriers to quality care and work together to come up with improvement plans

The purpose of this program is to find nurses and students who have interest in quality improvement of HIV and any other chronic diseases.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Professional Nurse/Nursing student in final year (Diploma or Degree from a local College/University)
  • Willingness to complete the online training in 2 or more of the modules offered through COC Program
  • Willing to pay only 40%  for any modules of her choice
  • Spend 2 hours a month to mentor 1 local organization of her of his choice
  • Commit 6 flexible hours a month to the program (2 hours to mentor a local organization, 2 hours for virtual/face to face COC mentoring and 2 hours to study modules and complete POE's over a period of 12 months)

  • Letter of recommendation for scholarship application to attend conferences (local and abroad)
