AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa (ARASA)
The AIDS and Rights Alliance for Southern Africa (ARASA) is a regional partnership of over 90 non-governmental organisations working together in 18 countries in southern and east Africa to promote a human rights based response to HIV and TB, through capacity building and advocacy.
ARASA is looking for a Regional Consultant to undertake research on civil society health and human rights financing.
ARASA aims, through this research, to document and assess the current funding environment for community led responses to HIV and TB, with a focus on CSOs ability to engage in programming for social enabling activities, including advocacy, community and political mobilization, community monitoring, public communication and outreach programmes for rapid HIV tests and diagnosis, as well as for human rights programmes such as law and policy reform, and stigma and discrimination reduction.
