DAI, the implementer of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Southern Africa Trade & Investment Hub project is seeking proposals to measure the time and cost to trade across borders within Southern Africa.
The Hub is a five-year project that seeks to increase regional trade and investment as well as agricultural value chain competitiveness in Southern Africa. The project supports the Southern Africa region, including Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Member States, the private sector, and civil society organizations to realize greater regional and global trade linkages and export-oriented business development. These objectives are underpinned by an improved regional trade and investment enabling environment coupled with increased agricultural value chain competitiveness supporting intra-regional trade.
The Hub invites companies and/or organization to submit a proposal to supply and deliver transit data information to measure the time and cost required to trade goods across borders for several corridors in Southern Africa. The Hub priority countries include Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Lesotho, and South Africa.
