Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute: Programme Manager

The Wits Reproductive Health and HIV Institute (WRHI) is one of the largest research Institutes of the University of the Witwatersrand and part of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Established in 1994 as the Reproductive Health Research Unit (RHRU), the Institute was formed through a merger with Enhancing Children’s HIV Outcomes (ECHO). Institute status was awarded by the University of the Witwatersrand in recognition of our outstanding portfolio of research.

WRHI Programme is supporting the South African Government to develop, implement and evaluate a national sex worker plan.

Centre for Applied Legal Studies: Candidate Attorneys

The Centre for Applied Legal Studies (CALS) is a leading human rights organisation, based in the Wits Law School, which undertakes research, strategic litigation, and public interest advocacy.

CALS seeks to appoint Candidate Attorneys to join its team in both 2014 and 2015 to work across the range of CALS’ programmes which include basic services, education, environment, gender and the rule of law. These positions will be based in Johannesburg.
