Africa's Unemployment Figures Remain High

The United Nations (UN) has warned that some of the world’s poorest nations such as Angola and Ethiopia have failed to cash in on the booming economic growth to create the jobs needed to push their increasing populations out of poverty.
 
UN Conference on Trade and Development’s (UNCTAD) head, Mukhisa Kituyi, states that economic growth which fails to create decent and sufficient jobs is unsustainable.

HIHSA seeks to appoint a Project Officer, based in North Zululand, KwaZulu-Natal.
 
The Project Officer will report to the Provincial Manager.

In its latest report, Oxfam points out that, “South Africa faces the triple challenge of poverty‚ inequality and unemployment.”
 
“The hopes of South Africa’s citizens depend on the country’s ability to address such injustices and end social deprivation‚” says Oxfam’s programmes manager, Mthandazo Ndlovu.
