NACOSA: Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

Created as an outcome of a national conference in 1991 to lobby for and develop the frst National AIDS Plan for South Africa, NACOSA is now a network of more than 1 200 HIV, AIDS, TB and other related role-players working in communities across South Africa.

NACOSA seeks to appoint a Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, based in Century City, Cape Town.

Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation: Research Nurses - Fish Hoek

The Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation (DTHF) is a NGO that focuses on the pursuit of excellence in research, treatment, training and prevention of HIV and related infections in Southern Africa.

The DTHF seeks to appoint Research Nurses, based at its Youth Centre in Masiphumelele, Fish Hoek, Cape Town.

This is a one-year contract position renewable subject to funding availability and acceptable work performance.

Responsibilities:

HIVSA: Programme Manager

HIVSA is a South African not-for-profit company that offers comprehensive care and support to those individuals infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, their families and those living in impoverished circumstances.

HIVSA seeks to appoint a Programme Manager, based in Johannesburg.

The incumbent will have a sound understanding and demonstrated experience related to HIV Programming and the Development Sector.

Responsibilities involve the management of all activities relating to HIVSA's community and health system strengthening projects including:

Cell-Life: mHealth Project Associate

Cell-Life is a nonprofit organisation that provides innovative technology for the management of HIV, as well as other infectious diseases such as TB. Cell-Life's vision is to improve the lives of people infected and affected by HIV in South Africa through the appropriate use of mobile technology.

Cell-Life seeks to appoint a mobile health (mHealth) Project Associate, based at its offices in Cape Town.

The position will involve working on some of Cell-Life’s mHealth services in health promotion and maternal health. 

This position will involve some travel.

Law, Race and Gender Research Unit: Researchers

The Law, Race and Gender Research (LRG) Unit was established in 1993 to provide training and support to judicial officers as courts faced the challenge of transforming their structures and jurisprudence in line with constitutional and democratic values. From the outset LRG's approach was to translate excellent research into accessible training materials and to enlist judicial officers as peer facilitators.
