Médecins Sans Frontières South Africa: Association Coordinator

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is an independent international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters, or to people that are excluded from access to health care. The organisation has health projects in more than 60 countries.

MSF’s Southern Africa Association has more than 300 members located in Southern African countries. Most of these members work for MSF in the region but the Association actively seeks members who are former MSF fieldworkers and employees.

Médecins Sans Frontières South Africa: Supply Logistician

Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has been providing TB/HIV services in South Africa since 1999 (Khayelitsha project) and in Lesotho since 2006. MSF teams have also been providing medical and humanitarian assistance for Zimbabweans and other vulnerable migrants, refugees, and asylum-seekers in Musina and inner-city Johannesburg since 2007. In 2011, MSF has opened an ambitious ‘TB and HIV incidence reduction ’project in Eshowe township and Mbongolwane health service area in KwaZulu-Natal.

Children’s Hospital Trust: Fundraising Relationship Coordinator

The Children’s Hospital Trust was founded in 1994 as the independent Fundraising Arm of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town when the Hospital was threatened with closure due to a lack of funding. Since its inception the Trust has supported the Hospital through upgrading its buildings, purchasing vital equipment and funding critical training and research programmes.

CANSA: Community Mobiliser - Amatole Region

 The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a nonprofit organisation set up to fight cancer and offer support to cancer sufferers.

CANSA seeks to appoint a Community Mobiliser, based in Amatole Region, Eastern Cape.
Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise and develop communities to deliver the CANSA’s health programmes
  • Be active in initiating income generation (fundraising) activities to ensure sustainability.
