Awethu!: National Organiser

Awethu! is an emerging coalition of organisations and activists campaigning for a strong, relevant, representative civil society network in South Africa. Awethu! aims to create a platform through which a wide range of social justice issues can be addressed collectively by NGOs, CBOs and social justice platforms across the country. Awethu!’s objective is to help put power back in the hands of the people and to hold government (and all political parties) accountable for delivering on their many promises. 

Economic Justice Network: Project Manager

The Economic Justice Network (EJN) of FOCCISA is a fellowship of Christian Councils in Southern Africa. FOCISSA is an ecumenical organisation working with 12 national councils of churches in southern Africa. EJN of FOCCISA is coordinating the Empowering Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) networks in an unequal Multi-Polar World: Inequality and Role of CSOs in Public Policy Making Project.

EJN of FOCCISA seeks to appoint a Project Manager for the Empowering Civil Society in an Unequal and Multi-Polar World, based in Cape Town.

Fetola: SME Mentors

Fetola is a NGO, enterprise development organisation that provides business support to Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) across the country. The organisation designs and implements flagship programmes that support the growth of small and emerging enterprises and community-based projects nationwide.

Township NPO: Cooperative Development Intern

The Township NPO is an ASB nonprofit organisation that inspires women to walk towards opportunities. Township: a Story of Enterprise and Empowerment. What began as a conversation with women in the townships around Cape Town has become a dynamic social enterprise. The organisation has built a thriving network of seven worker-owned sewing cooperatives supporting around 70 women and their families; and it is still growing.

Fetola: Regional Project Coordinator

Fetola is a NGO, enterprise development organisation that provides business support to Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMME) across the country. Township Patterns is a unique social enterprise in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) producing eco-friendly handmade bags. The range is made by fair trade women’s cooperatives in the townships in South Africa. Each item sold brings economic improvement and opportunity for sustainable development to the women and their communities. Township Patters is a member if the World Fair Trade Organisation promoting good working conditions, payment of a fair price and also respect for the environment.

Rural Education Access Programme: Deputy Director - Finance and Operations

The Rural Education Access Programme (REAP) is an associate body of the Southern African Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SACBC) that facilitates access to higher education for economically disadvantaged rural matriculants.

REAP seeks to appoint a Deputy Director - Finance and Operations, based in Cape Town with occasional national travel. REAP works in partnership with the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
