Star For Life: Life Skills Coaches - Johannesburg

The Star For Life (SFL) - Southern Africa is a nonprofit making organisation whose mission is to inspire young people in believing in their dreams for the future and to support them to live an AIDS-free life while fulfilling their dreams. The Project is based on universal approaches, where a school has been identified as one of the most suitable site for an intervention that address challenges facing young people. SFL has operations in South Africa and Namibia, with plans to expand its operations into other Southern African countries.

National Business Initiative: Manager - Skills Development

The National Business Initiative (NBI) is a voluntary group of leading national and multi-national companies, working together towards sustainable growth and development in South Africa through thought leadership, networking and facilitation and collective action. This is achieved through evidence based experience and research in key areas and thus effects system change.

The NBI seeks to appoint a Manager for its Skills Development programme, based in Johannesburg.

New Mine for Zimbabwe

World number two platinum producer Impala Platinum (Implats) has adopted a longer-term view of Zimbabwe, with its board approving a new mine in the country despite facing uncertainty and threats from the government’s announced land grab bid and higher power tariffs.
 
Implats, which runs the Zimplats operation, is the biggest mining investor in Zimbabwe. The new Mupani mine will have a 25-year life of mine period and will produce 2.2 million tons of ore per year on full design capacity in 2025.

Zim-SA Forum

United in our patriotism, the Zim-SA forum has made strides in providing a unique platform for Zimbabweans in the diaspora to contribute, without any partisanship, towards economic recovery, poverty eradication initiatives, and empowerment of the diaspora since its establishment this year.

The Zim-SA Forum held its meet-and-greet event on October 29 at Ambrosia Hall, Glen Austin, Midrand, under the theme Disruptive Investment and Revolutionising Business.
