CHOC: Branch Assistant

The KwaZulu-Natal Division of CHOC seeks to appoint a Branch Assistant, based in Pietermaritzburg.

The Branch Assistant will support the Branch Manager in taking CHOC’s work forward.

CHOC: Events, Fundraising and Relationships Coordinator

The Western Cape Division of CHOC seeks to appoint an Events, Fundraising and Relationships Coordinator, based at the Divisional Office in Pinelands, Cape Town.

CHOC: House Support Assistant

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC Johannesburg Division seeks to appoint a House Support Assistant, based in Diepkloof Ext., Soweto.

The House Support Assistant will assist the House Manager in the CHOC House to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children and care-givers under the line-management of the House Managers.

CHOC: House Manager - Plumstead

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a person, or possibly couple as House Manager(s) at the CHOC House in Plumstead, Cape Town.

The overall purpose of the post is to manage the support given to patients and their parents/caregivers at the CHOC House, manage the House and its facilities and liaise with hospital staff.  Note that this is a live-in position.

Responsibilities:

CHOC: Driver / Handyman - Cape Town

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

The Western Cape Division of CHOC seeks to appoint a person to fulfil the role of Driver / Handyman, based at the CHOC House Plumstead, Cape Town.

The position is available from the beginning of September 2013, or as soon possible thereafter.

CHOC: Lodge Manager - Port Elizabeth

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC Eastern Cape Division seeks to appoint a Lodge Manager, based at Lodge at Dora Nginza Hospital, Port Elizabeth.

The overall purpose of the post is to manage the support given to patients and their parents/caregivers at the CHOC Lodge, manage the Lodge and its facilities and liaise with hospital staff. Please note that this is a live-in position.

CANSA: Professional Nurse - Pietermaritzburg

The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a nonprofit organisation set up to fight cancer and offer support to cancer sufferers.

CANSA - Pietermaritzburg Office seeks to appoint a part-time Professional Nurse for its Cancer Care Clinic, based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

The person will lead the fight against cancer in South Africa and save lives. S/he will manage the Cancer Care Centre services  with regard to the prevention, early detection, care and support programmes. Including cost effective financial management, leadership and management of volunteers.

CANSA: Community Mobiliser / Registered Nurse

The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a nonprofit organisation set up to fight cancer and offer support to cancer sufferers.

CANSA seeks to appoint a Community Mobiliser/Registered Nurse, based in George but inclusive of travelling within the Southern Cape areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilise and develop communities to deliver the CANSA’s health programmes;
  • Be active in initiating income generation (fundraising) activities and services to ensure sustainability.
