CANSA seeks to appoint a Social Worker for the Community Mobiliser Service Delivery, based in George - SBU.

The Social Worker will mobilise and develop communities that will enable delivery of CANSA’s health programmes.

The person will guide the Business Unit in setting of targets re early detection and screening, prevention, care and support in line with CANSA’s mission and strategic objectives to develop work systems to enable regions to implement care and support programmes.

The person will mobilise and develop communities that will enable delivery of CANSA’s health programmes and actively initiate income generating activities to ensure sustainability. S/he will report to the Unit Manager – Services.

CANSA: Care Clinic Manager

The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a nonprofit organisation set up to fight cancer and offer support to cancer sufferers.

CANSA seeks to appoint a Care Clinic Manager, based in Mowbray, Cape Metro Region.

The person will manage and oversee all the CANSA Care Clinic (CCC) services and programmes and all resources to render comprehensive, prevention, early detection, care and support programmes at CCC to individuals (survivors/general public) and groups of affected individuals. The CCM role is more a facility approach.

CHOC: Fundraising Manager

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a Fundraising Manager, based in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Starting date: beginning of March 2014

This successful candidate will be responsible for the entire management (including creation and coordination) for CHOC and must have previous experience in fundraising and sponsorships’ and able to take CHOC’s work forward.

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a Communications Manager, based in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Starting date: beginning of March 2014.

The overall purpose of the post is to manage all communications, plan activities and to build internal and external relationships, including funders and the media in taking CHOC’s work forward.

The Western Cape Division of CHOC seeks to appoint a Divisional Assistant, based in Cape Town.

Start date: beginning of March 2014 

The overall purpose of the post is to provide administrative assistance, daily financial work, and to provide support to the Divisional Manager in taking CHOC’s work forward in the province.

CHOC: Nurse Clinical Officer

CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation has embarked on a three year Awareness Campaign to train all health professionals in Gauteng and feeder areas to the Province on the Early Warning Signs of childhood cancer in order to ensure early diagnosis and treatment.

CHOC seeks to appoint a Nurse Clinical Officer: Education in Paediatric Oncology, based in Johannesburg.

CHOC: Driver/Handyman

The KwaZulu-Natal Division of CHOC seeks to appoint a Driver / Handyman, based at the Platinum Life CHOC House in Hilton, Pietermaritzburg.

The Driver / Handyman will undertake driving and maintenance duties for the Platinum Life CHOC House and Pietermaritzburg Office.
