CANSA seeks to appoint a Cancer Information Officer for the CANSA Science & Resource Centre, based in Mowbray, Cape Town.

The person will provide comprehensive and credible information about cancer and support services available by phone and e-mail to cancer patients, their families, cancer survivors, the general public and healthcare professionals in a professional, informative, personalised and timely manner.

CHOC: Donor Development Manager

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a Donor Development Manager for its Business Development Unit (BDU), which is the fundraising and communications department, based in Randburg, Johannesburg.

Area of responsibility: South Africa

This is a full time/permanent position.

Overstrand Hospice: Professional Nurses

Overstrand Hospice provides home-based palliative care to patients in the Overstrand (Rooi Els to Pearly Beach) suffering from end-of-life life-threatening conditions such as cancer, neurological disorders, organ disease and AIDS (with associated cancer and / or in need of symptom control). The Hospice's service is free of charge and follows a holistic model of care involving a multi-disciplinary approach to address total pain (clinical, emotional, social, cultural and spiritual), caring for both the patient and his/her loved ones.

CHOC: Divisional Manager - Pretoria

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a Divisional Manager, based in the Pretoria Division.

The position is on a permanent base to be filled as soon as possible.
 
The overall purpose of the post is to promote, market and manage the Division and effectively and efficiently implement and manage CHOC’s activities in the Pretoria region.

CHOC: Divisional Manager - Free State

The position is on a permanent base.
 
The overall purpose of the post is to promote, market and manage the Division and effectively and efficiently implement and manage CHOC’s activities in the Free State region.

The Manager will report to the Regional Manager.

CANSA: HR Support Officer - Southern Business Unit

The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is a nonprofit organisation set up to fight cancer and offer support to cancer sufferers.

CANSA seeks to appoint a Human Resources (HR) Support Officer - Southern Business Unit, based in Mowbray, Cape Town.

The person will coordinate the needs of our most important asset i.e. the workforce of the Southern Business Unit. This responsibility will be handled with care, pride and efficiency to compliment the overall productivity of the organisation. S/he will report to the Executive Manager.

CHOC: House Manager

The Childhood Cancer (CHOC) Foundation South Africa is a nonprofit organisation that provides support for children suffering from cancer and life-threatening blood disorders as well as their families.

CHOC seeks to appoint a House Manager, based in Pietermaritzburg.

Starting date: July 2014

The overall purpose of the post is to manage the support given to patients and their parents / caregivers at the CHOC House, manage the House and its facilities and liase with hospital staff. Please note that this is a live-in position.

The successful candidate will mobilise and develop communities that will enable delivery of CANSA’s health programmes and actively initiate income generating activities to ensure sustainability.
