LvA: Social Worker

Lawyers against Abuse (LvA) is an NGO based in Diepsloot, an informal settlement in northern Johannesburg. They provide integrated direct legal and psychosocial services to victims of gender-based violence (GBV), which includes sexual violence, domestic violence and child abuse. LvA also works closely with local state actors and other community-based organisations to address broader systemic issues that lead to violence and allow it to persist.

LvA seeks to appoint a Social Worker based in Diepsloot, Johannesburg.

WildAid: Social Media Consultant

WildAid is a small, lean, and growing organization. All staff members must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial, start-up culture. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize multiple, often competing demands is critical. The successful candidate must be able to work very independently without a great deal of supervision. S/he must also have excellent interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate with staff, volunteers, and pro bono partners. Familiarity with environmental advocacy and wildlife protection programs will be an asset.

EELC: Media & Communications Officer

The Law Centre also aims to develop young, skilled attorneys and law graduates in public interest litigation. EELC is a team of activist lawyers working to advance the struggle for quality and equality in education, through legal advocacy and strategic litigation.
