BRAC: IEC Consultant for Graduation Community Development Model Program in Lesotho

The Government of Lesotho’s Ministry of Social Development (MoSD), with technical assistance from BRAC, will plan and launch the implementation of the Graduation CDM program in Lesotho. This support is proposed to take place from September 2018 to April 2019. The IEC Consultant provides communications, design, and translation services to support the planning and launching of this program.

South African Activist David Barnard to Run the Grand to Grand Ultra in Support of the END Fund

On September 25, 2016, David Barnard will take on the Grand to Grand Ultra in honour of the END Fund and the fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) in Africa. By participating in this extreme multi-stage race, David has committed himself to raising awareness and funds to help the over 1.6 billion people worldwide whose lives are affected by NTDs.

Junior Doctors Speak Out! The Rights and Occupational Safety of Junior Doctors

The People's Health Movement South Africa (PHM-SA.org) will be hosting a public meeting on the rights and occupational safety of junior doctors.

The panel discussion and public debate will focus on the working conditions on interns and junior doctors in the South African health system. 

The main speakers will include Dr Yumna Moosa. Moosa will draw her experience which recently went viral on Youtube (www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEHvY-M_7N0

Philani: Research Coordinator

Philani Maternal, Child Health and Nutrition Project is a community based NGO (change to non-profit), operating in the informal settlements surrounding Cape Town and in the rural OR Tambo district of the Eastern Cape. Two maternal and child health research projects are currently being run by Philani in the Eastern Cape: Zithulele Births Follow up Study (ZiBFUS) and Zithulele Mother-to-Be Assessment (ZiMBA).

Philani seeks to appoint a Research Coordinator, based in Zithulele, Eastern Cape.

The Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children: Volunteer Proposal Writer

The Teddy Bear Clinic for Abused Children (TTBC) is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to ensuring abused children are protected and rehabilitated. The organisation provides therapy, counselling, assistance, love, comfort, safety and ongoing support to children who have been abused. TTBC does not only work with children, but with parents and communities empowering them with knowledge and skills so that we can help put an end to child abuse.
