It is critical that we as South Africans do whatever possible to force the Egyptians to open the Rafah crossing for the people of Gaza to obtain medical supplies and other necessities. Please join the demonstration calling for this at the Egyptian Embassy on Friday starting at 2:00pm and add your voice to the struggle of the Palestinians. Posters and placards available at the demo. CER:Life After Coal Campaign Coordinator

The Life After Coal/Impilo Ngaphandle Kwamalahle campaign is a well-established joint campaign by Earthlife AfricagroundWork, and the Centre for Environmental Rights. We aim to discourage the development of new coal-fired power stations and mines; reduce emissions from existing coal infrastructure and encourage a coal phase-out; and enable a just transition to sustainable energy systems for the people.

My Vote Counts (MVC) is a non-profit organisation that works towards improving transparency, accountability and inclusiveness in South Africa’s political and electoral systems. The organisation was formally registered in 2014 and has made an impact in ensuring that South Africans are a step closer to understanding who pays for our politics and focussing on ways in which we can hold our elected representatives to account.

SCB: Projects Manager

Sustainable Coffee Bay (SCB) was formally started in 2011, but grew out of the projects that have been run informally by Coffee Shack Backpackers as far back as 2002. SCB has three major focus areas: Early Childhood Development, Education and Youth Development, and Rural Assistance. This organisation is still closely associated with Coffee Shack Backpackers.

SCB seeks to appoint a Projects Manager to be based in Eastern Cape, South Africa.
